Womankind
Around the world women come together – often at great personal risk – to challenge discrimination. They work within communities to enable the most marginalised women and girls to understand, and have the confidence, to claim their rights and improve their lives. This work not only takes great courage, it requires resources too. This is the work of women’s rights organisations. Womankind deliver the essential support they need to amplify their voice and bring about long-lasting change.

They have launched this two-minute animation about the story of a woman called Meron and her children who experience violence. Alongside the animation, they have launched a research report about the role of women’s rights organisations in preventing violence against women and girls in Ethiopia, Ghana and Zambia.
